Football climbs to No. 4 in AP Top 25

AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Football moved up seven spots to No. 4 in the Associated Press Top 25 following its 34-24 victory over then-No. 3 Alabama on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The Longhorns are ranked in the top five for the first time since beginning the 2010 campaign at No. 5. and received the highest ranking for the program since finishing No. 2 following the 2009 BCS Championship Game. Texas received two first-place votes in this week's poll.

The Longhorns also checked in at No. 6 on the US LBM Coaches Poll, UT's best spot on the coaches poll since ranking fourth in week four of the 2010 season.
