Nick Vannett should address need for blocking TE on Titans roster

The Tennessee Titans agreed to terms with free-agent tight end Nick Vannett on Monday afternoon. Vannett arrives in Nashville roughly one month after head coach Brian Callahan publicly proclaimed that the team “needed tight ends.” Vannett should carve out a role for himself as the Titans’ TE3 behind Chig Okonkwo and Josh Whyle. He’s a specialist-type player.

The 31-year-old Vannett has recorded just 96 receptions and six touchdowns throughout his eight-year career.
