CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Two Panther players have been named to the Missouri Valley Conference All-Tournament team.
Pitcher Samantha Heyer and catcher Alexis Pupillo were recognized for their performances in the MVC Championship Tournament held at Charlotte West Stadium in Carbondale this week. Both players started for UNI in the team's two games and helped lead the Panthers to the semifinal round of the tournament.
As UNI's starting pitcher, Heyer put together strong performances against Drake and Indiana State with 12 innings pitched, 15 strikeouts, and only one earned run for an ERA of 0.
